Rigid granules for extrusion are recommended for electrical insulating tubes, pipes for transport of fluids with non-corrosive action against PVC, fittings, accesories.
Appearance, shape, sizes and colour of granules :
The granules have an homogenous appearance, cylindrical or lenticular shape, sizes up to max. 5 mm (max. 4% granules above the limit or agglomerated are acceptable). The granules can be natural or coloured as customer's requirement.
Packing :
The granules are packed in polyethylene bags of 30 kgs, in polyethylene bags repacked in polypropylene bags of 30 kgs or big bags of 750 kgs.
Storage and transport of granules :
The granules are stored in
closed, dry warehouses, far away of direct UV action, at a distance of minimum
2 m from any heating source; the storage temperature is recommended to be from
+50C up to +400C.
The granules must be kept min. 24 hours at room temperature before the
processing.
The transport of granules is done by covered means of transport.
Technical properties of granules :
Tehnical properties of granules are shown in the tables. The values shown in the tables are the result of tests made on specimens, got in conformity with test methods, specific to each characteristic; these values are not the values of the characteristics got on finished product, obtained from granules.
